This week the Diva challenge was to use the tangle Dex. I think I’ve only used it once before, and I tried to think how I would use it as a monotangle. I remembered looking at the zendala that Maria posted on the zentangle site. She traced the outlines of several squares onto a zendala tile and tangled them. I liked the effect, so I thought I would do the reverse and traced some circles onto a square tile. I tangled Dex in each of the circles, and then added some color for contrast.
Circles in a square ^_^ love the idea! and love how you colored them! Also two striped sides are a great variation compared to stripes+shading. I like it!
Waffles! Beautiful work, Kathy!
love the idea. and your color choice. Yes i agree with Ann. Waffles.
This is very lovely. I like the addition of color.
Very creative Kathy. I like the circles in the square and the colors make it pop! Very nice!
I love it! This turned out very, very nicely. Thanks for sharing your thought process.
Interesting how you did this. So simple and yet so great solution to make a monotangle by just adding different colors in the depth. Great, why didn’t I think of that. I had a hard time to make it look like something in a monotangle.
Great idea!!!! Compliment.
Clean, simple, and the touch of color is lovely. Well done.
I also thought of waffles when I saw this. You did a great job. Like the color.
