Laura has another guest host this week as Artoo recovers from his surgery. Holly Atwater has given us the challenge of a ‘Tritangle’, using Trio, Huggins and Xyp. I love Huggins, but I don’t use XYP that often, and I’ve never done Trio before today (and it shows). Challenges are there to challenge us and this one did! Thanks for pushing us Holly!

I so agree, Kathy. I love it when the challenges actually “challenge” us. I seldom use Huggins, and never used either of the others, so it was fun. I like how you dangled your Trio from the Xyp.

Yep. That’s why they call it a “challenge” ;-) All three of these tangles were new for me. i’m impressed that even as you “struggled” with your trio, it doesn’t look like it and you achieved a great layered effect. Very nice.

I am right there with you. All three this week are ones I seldom use, and trio was new. You have a lovely tile, and I also like how it almost seems like a piece of jewelry.
You did beautifully with xyp…I had a rough go of it even after much trial and error. I think I need to loosen up and try it larger. Thanks for the inspiration!

Nice tile. I like how you used Trio almost like a pendant or ornament.
I always check out the other interpretations after I post mine….ours look very similar! great minds? ;-) I think you did a better job of getting Huggins into the background just with your shading! Plus I really like how it looks like the tile itself is woven.
