It’s hard to believe that I haven’t posted here since February! Hopefully it won’t be that long before my next post! This week’s challenge combines 2 of my favorite tangles, Flux and NZeppel.
Jen Crutchfield, CZT is filling in for Laura this week, and she’s challenged us to use color in our tiles, maybe combinations of colors we don’t normally use. I tend to use blues, greens and purples, so I added pink and yellow to my tile. I also added some water droplets, something I’ve been experimenting with. This is the first time I’ve tried them on color.
It’s been about three weeks since I did my last challenge. April was a very busy month! I’m glad to be back here. The Diva Challenge this week is to use the tangle “Brella” by Bunny Wright, CZT. This is a fun pattern. I did a monotangle, making one large Brella, with many little Brellas inside the large one. I did a slight variation to the pattern and added some color to highlight the umbrella effect.
This week’s challenge is to use Joyce Evans’ tangle “Bugles”. I enjoyed doing this one.
I was able to tangle my tile while on vacation in Maine. Total relaxation!
This week’s Diva challenge is to use circles. I started with one large circle, then started adding smaller and smaller circles in a symmetrical fashion. Then I had to figure out what to do next. I decided to add color and after I did I saw flowers.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to leave comments. I always read them, and they are very much appreciated! Thanks also for the get well wishes! I’m feeling much better! Thank you!
When I saw what the Diva’s challenge was this week I cringed…a duotangle of Well and Punzel. I love Well and all the variations, but Punzel….not so much. I always have difficulty with this one. But a challenge is supposed to challenge you, so I started practicing my Punzel. After several attempts I decided it was as good as it was going to get. So here is my tile. Along with shading I added some white highlights. Punzel will never be a favorite tangle, but I gave it my best shot and I’m happy with how it turned out.
The past few weeks have been so busy that I’ve missed the last couple of challenges. I was determined not to miss this one! This week’s challenge is one that Laura, the Diva herself, came up with. She said it’s a variation of Carole Ohl’s tangle Tink, and it was a fun one to do. I was having such a good time doing it, that I had filled up almost the whole tile before I made myself stop. To finish it off I added a little color and tucked in some black orbs.
